Coach Martinez

Coach Martinez comes to us by way of Richmond, CA where he competed in Football and Track & Field. While attending El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, CA Coach Martinez was a four yearOffensive & Defensive Tackle, and in 1989 he was an All RBAL/BVAL 1st& 2nd team Tackle. Coach Martinez was also an accomplished Shot-Put and Discus thrower, finishing top 3 in the Shot-Put and top 5 in the Discus at the BVAL League Championships. Upon graduating from high school where helettered in both sports, Coach Martinez went on to attend College in Los Angeles, majoring in Applied Arts for Graphic Design. After college Coach Martinez began hiscareer as an Art Director.

Experience:
Coach Martinez has coached Track and Field at El Cerrito High School, Richmond High school, De Anza High school, Mach 5 Track Club, and with the Sacramento Speed Factory Track Club.Coaching highlights: CIF Track& Field State meet qualifying 4 x 100 meter relay team; from El Cerrito High School. CIF Track & Field State meet qualifying 100meter,200meter and Shot-Put athletes from De Anza High School, and2013 Junior Olympic shot-put and long jump qualifiers with the Sacramento Speed Factory.
